We would like to invite you to the coming meeting of the CCLA Post-Magical Realist Worlds research group on the topic:
‘Responses to Magic Realism and Literature (2020), Warnes and Sasser’ that will take place August 25, 2021, at 1:30 pm EST (for time zones and links please scroll below). With a wide scope ranging across Magic Realism’s origins, development, and applications, the book pursues an all-encompassing survey of the field and the current state of its study in literature.

We’d like to invite you to read this book which proposes to survey the entire breadth of our chosen area of study, and respond, either to the text as a whole, a chosen chapter or extract from within, or to the thoughts offered in review of the text. As we know our members vary in disciplinary background and training, we’d like to encourage responses, both from those who will consider Magic Realism and Literature to be their home turf, and those who come to Magic Realism from completely different fields with differing presuppositions and borders. Join the discussion or just come to listen in!
