Trent University invites applications for one 12-month limited term position in the Department of Cultural Studies as well as the Bachelor of Arts & Science Program at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will be at the Peterborough campus and will commence August 15, 2020, subject to budgetary approval.

Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies (or a related discipline). The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Cultural Studies and the Bachelor of Arts & Science, including:

CUST 1510H: Introduction to the Integrated Arts
CUST-ERST 2114H: Workshop: Ecological Art
ASCI 1001H: Arts and Science I
ASCI 2001H: Arts and Science II
ASCI 3001H: Arts and Science Colloquium
The candidate is also required to act as the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Arts & Science program. Familiarity with the program will be an asset. There will be an expectation to teach during the summer term 2021 in addition to teaching in the regular academic sessions.

Candidates should have completed their Ph.D. by the start of the appointment. Experience teaching remote/online courses will be considered an asset.
