Northeast Modern Language Association 2010 Annual Convention (Montreal, Quebec; April 7-11, 2010)
Experience the lively and intimate exchange that NeMLA offers at its 41st annual convention in downtown Montreal, sponsored by McGill University. Featuring over 320 panels, the 2009 convention in Boston richly represented all subject areas of the modern languages and literatures, covering a broad spectrum of scholarship and advancing innovative approaches to teaching.
Propose a session by April 15th for the 2010 convention
NeMLA is a member-driven convention, accepting session proposals (panel, roundtable, creative session, seminar) in the following areas:
- American British/Anglophone
- Canadian
- Caribbean
- Comparative Literatures
- Composition
- Film
- French and Francophone
- Gay/Lesbian
- German
- Italian
- Pedagogy
- Popular Culture
- Professional
- Spanish/Portuguese
- Theory
- Women’s Studies
- World Literatures (non-Western European language)

2009 membership is required to propose a session; proposers will be notified of Board approval of sessions in early May.
The full Call for Papers for pre-approved panels will be available online in June 2009. The abstract deadline for most sessions will be September 30, 2009. The convention will be held at the Hilton Bonaventure ($159 CN).
