"We submit that, against the steam and stream of post-modern and post-structural ideologies and deconstructionist theories that question or negate meaning and thrive on the challenge to or dismantlement of language’s stability and signifying potentials, Cogswell’s poetry self-consciously reclaims, asserts, and celebrates order, meaning, and purpose in writing as much as in reality, both human and natural."
